EQUITY!
EQUITY!
Equity means people like Sal with more privilege
can help out by sharing what they have.
(Of course, you should always ask for permission before sharing.)
With equity everyone gets what they need.
Now, take a moment to look at yourself.
How does privilege impact your health?
Are you able to:
eat nutritious meals every day?
earn more than $32/day?
see a doctor whenever you need?
live in a clean and safe home?
get a good night's sleep?
rely on family and friends for support?
get 12+ years of education?
not face discrimination based on your race, gender, sexuality, culture
have drinkable water nearby?
breath in clean air?
It's important to know how much privilege you have
AND
how privilege impacts your health compared to those around you.
